Embark on a journey to discover the most beautiful villages of Luberon in France, surrounded by the flavors of olive oil, wine, candied fruits, and be enchanted by the ochre mining sites.
Day 1: Cucuron
Enjoy a stroll through Cucuron, a typical Provençal village in the heart of Luberon. Visit the Château d’Ansouis and its French-style gardens. Discover a vineyard designed by the famous architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, located in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of Luberon.
Day 2: Lourmarin, Bonnieux, Apt, Gargas, Roussilion
Take a guided tour of Lourmarin, recognized as one of the most beautiful villages in France, as well as the castle, the first Renaissance-style château built in Provence. Visit a 30-acre estate with olive trees, vineyards, and woods.
Explore Bonnieux, a beautiful hilltop village located opposite Lacoste, in northern Luberon. Stroll through its streets before heading to Apt, the world capital of candied fruit, to visit the Candied Fruit House, a European museum dedicated to these delicacies.
Continue to Gargas to visit the Bruoux Mine, known for its ochre extraction, and finally visit Roussillon, home to the Ochre Village and Ecomuseum.
Day 3: Ménerbes, Gordes
Visit Ménerbes, home to the Truffle House and Lavender Museum, which introduces the history, properties, and qualities of this iconic plant. Head to Gordes to explore the Sénanque Abbey, as well as Notre Dame. Enjoy an acropolis built around a Renaissance château.
Day 4: Les Baux-de-Provence
Travel to Les Baux-de-Provence to sample fruity black and green olive oil from the valley. Then visit the castle and village, also considered one of the most beautiful in France.
