Day 1: Forcalquier The tour begins at the Convent of the Cordeliers, home to the European University of Flavors and Scents. It is the only university in France certifying soap-making diplomas. The UESS is a center for the promotion and training of aromatic, cosmetic, and food plants.
Day 2: Mane
Enjoy a tour of a laboratory that transforms aloe vera – rich in nutrients – into gel, drinks, and beauty products. Here, clay and thermal water-based products are also produced. The essential oils institute is a research unit that will show you the ingredients of perfumes and cosmetics.
Day 3: Manosque
Visit a renowned perfume and essential oil company, developed based on the principles of aromatherapy and phytotherapy. Discover flavors like olive oil at the olive eco-museum and truffle. End the day with a visit to a local vineyard.
Day 4: Aubagne
Explore the Santon craftsmanship and culture of Provence, small clay figurines used in nativity scenes. Enjoy a visit to the workshop and museum. Then, head to Aix-de-Provence to visit a calisson factory and learn about its history and manufacturing process through an interactive museum experience. Continue to Salon-de-Provence, the capital of oils and soaps, for a visit to a soap factory.
