This is how UNESCO<\/strong> describes the territory of the Cinque Terre and Portovenere when it declared them a World Heritage Site<\/strong> in 1997.<\/h3>\n

We propose a tour between Portovenere and the Cinque Terre to slowly appreciate every detail of these enchanted places.<\/p>\n

Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore: five villages perched on cliffs<\/strong> overlooking the sea, creating a wonderful contrast with the green hills behind.<\/p>\n

DAY 1 \u2013 PORTOVENERE:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Among Italy’s most famous villages, Portovenere<\/strong> has welcomed numerous artists and poets over the years, who were captivated by the beauty of its landscape<\/strong>.
\nDuring your visit, we recommend heading to the tip of the promontory<\/strong> that hosts the Church of San Pietro<\/strong>. Featuring black-and-white striped decorations, it stands on a cliff overlooking the sea and was built on the remains of an ancient pagan temple.
\nNot far from here is the Arpaia Cave, better known as the Lord Byron Cave<\/strong>. The name reminds us of the inspiration this enchanting place gave to the English artist for his literary works.
\nTo continue your discovery of Portovenere, you can take a walk along the Palazzata a Mare<\/strong>, a long wall of colorful houses leaning against each other.
\nThe historic center<\/strong> also serves as the town’s commercial hub, with narrow alleys and squares opening up among shops, artisan workshops, and focaccerie.

DAY 2 \u2013 RIOMAGGIORE AND MANAROLA:<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\nToday, its urban structure features loggias, churches, medieval fortifications, and the Doria Castle<\/strong> with the attached Belforte cylindrical tower<\/strong>.
